In 2021, as a gesture of appreciation to the North American audiophile community, Unique Melody introduced MEST Indigo, a Thanksgiving-exclusive limited edition. Indigo was never meant to replace MEST MKII.
It was a thank-you-an acknowledgment of trust, enthusiasm, and shared passion.
Over time, Indigo became one of the most emotionally significant releases in the MEST lineage, cherished not only for its sound, but for what it represented.

Progress Never Stops – But Origins Matter

Following Indigo, UM continued to evolve the MEST series through models such as MEST MKIII
Carbon Fiber and Jet Black, exploring new materials, structures, and tuning philosophies.

MEST Fortune adopts a sophisticated 10-driver hybrid configuration:
-1 Dynamic Driver (DD) for low frequencies, delivering a solid foundation and fast transient response
-4 Balanced Armature (BA) drivers covering low-mid to upper-mid frequencies, ensuring density, clarity, and resolution
-2 Electrostatic (EST) drivers dedicated to ultra-high frequencies, providing low distortion and ex cel-lent treble extension
-3 UM Hybrid Bone Conduction drivers serving as auxiliary drivers, enhancing bass perception and spatial dimensionality through vibration

Hybrid Bone Conduction Technology

Unlike traditional bone-conduction designs, UM’s hybrid implementation works in synergy with air-con-ducted drivers. This approach enhances sub-bass depth, physicality, and contributes to a more three-di-mensional soundstage.
Precision Crossover Network
All drivers are integrated through carefully calculated crossovers, ensuring each driver operates within its optimal frequency range. The result is smooth frequency transitions and a cohesive tonal character.
Tuning Philosophy
The overall tuning leans toward balance. Bass emphasizes texture and speed; mids present strong density and separation; treble focuses on smooth extension and fine detail retrieval. The multi-driver design de-livers a wide frequency range with outstanding resolution.
