The iBasso DC04U is a premium portable USB DAC and headphone amplifier, delivering flagship-level audio performance with exceptional usability. Engineered with dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips, this device supports PCM up to 32bit/768kHz and Native DSD512x decoding, ensuring crystal-clear resolution and lifelike detail.
Exceptional sound quality begins with a precise clock and data reproduction. The DC04U utilizes iBasso’s accumulated FPGA audio algorithms, paired with dual femtosecond oscillators. This structure significantly reduces jitter during digital signal transmission, ensuring that the entire transmission chain delivers pure audio signals, resulting in a more authentic, clearer, and more natural listening experience.
Designed around a fully balanced 4-channel amplifier architecture, the DC04U achieves an output power of 980mW + 980mW @ 32ฮฉ via its 4.4mm balanced output, making it capable of driving demanding headphones with ease. It also features a 3.5mm single-ended output with 280mW + 280mW power, while maintaining ultra-low distortion and a noise floor below 0.1ฮฉ.
The stainless-steel CNC-machined chassis with tempered glass panels offers rugged durability and premium aesthetics. A 0.96-inch multi-colour display provides real-time sample rate and settings feedback, and three physical buttons enable quick access to volume, gain, filter, and other adjustmentsโno app required.
However, with the companion Android UAC app, users gain even deeper control with a 10-band PEQ, 7 preset EQ modes, customizable filters, and precise ยฑ0.1V voltage adjustments. The DC04U also supports SPDIF coaxial output via 3.5mm, microphone input (CTIA protocol), and seamless compatibility with Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, Switch 2, and PS5 via UAC 1.0/2.0 support.
